I’ve decided I will continue as I have for the last couple of weeks, and post every second day. I was posting every day, and then when burned out would stop for two or three days. There’s no shortage of things to say, but to slow down the pace a bit reduces some stress and gives me more time to do other things. I also thought that it might make things easier for readers, who it seems are still catching up on earlier posts.
Coming up will be more on Frankenthaler, which will link to the recent posts on writing and drawing, and also at least implicitly place her within the larger discussion about art and literature, art as discourse and discourse in art. After that I will respond in a post to Shep Steiner’s latest comment, on scale, and that will lead into my three new pictures, directly coming off the recent discussion of Tiepolo and the shaped canvas.
